Carol Vickroy is a self-taught artist who has taken several college courses in drawing and painting. She describes her art as a means to a deeper understanding of herself. She says, “Art is the best tool for the exploration of my inner self and the external images that speak to me.” Carol says that one can often tell her mood through her paintings. Carol’s favorite subjects are old buildings, landscapes and still life. She confesses that she has always been attracted to old buildings and describes their windows as “the eyes to a building’s soul.” Carol currently studies figure painting and drawing.
